Google has added another great feature. Before doing a search, click on the box above the search box marked 'Images'. Then type in a 'key word' that describes the kind of image you are looking for. This is an excellent resource, but be careful to check the size of your image file - if it's too large, it may cause problems if you are adding it to a website or sending it via Email. |

| Quia Language Quiz Collection | Quia.com began as a free website which allowed teachers to create online quizzes. There now is a $49/year charge for this service. The good news, however, is that - for FREE - you can still find and link to quizzes that other teachers have made. Also, if you are interested, you may get a free one-month trial account to try making your own quizzes. | |
| Quiz Star | An exciting new FREE programme - with nothing you need to download - for making quizzes. You can receive an Email when your students take your quiz, decide who is allowed to take your quiz - and more! It's possible to insert accents for French and Chinese. We still need to test Russian and Chinese, though. Warning: This looks too good - they will likely be charging a fee in the future. | |
| Hot Potatoes | The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is not freeware, but it is free of charge for non-profit educational users who make their pages available on the web. | |
